Hot Off the Press: Global Blockchain Business Council (GBBC) and Hyperledger Foundation have released "Learning Tokens," a special report that dives into blockchain’s role in representing the value of transmission of knowledge by tokenizing the learning process.
Education is a fundamental asset that develops human capacities. Drawing on the Token Taxonomy Framework of GBBC’s InterWork Alliance (IWA), use of standardized tokens for evaluation and certification can validate educational achievements at a granular level – not only upon completion of a degree or certificate, but also upon completion of milestones along the way. Opportunities range from more inclusive and participatory learning environments, transparent and inclusive labor markets, and supporting economic development to improve human lives.
