
Rod Beckstrom
Rod is CEO of RipCurrent, which advises top global companies and leaders on cybersecurity, geopolitics and technology. He was President and CEO of ICANN, Founding Director of the U.S. National Cybersecurity Center and global Chief Security Advisor to Samsung Electronics. Rod founded and was CEO of C-ATS Software Inc., a company he took public on NASDAQ. He also co-founded Cequence, Mergent Systems, and American Legal Net. At Stanford University, Rod founded and chaired both the Advisory Board of the Cybersecurity Policy Program and the Stanford Business School YPO Executive Program. He also co-authored four books, including “The Starfish and The Spider: The Unstoppable Power of Leaderless Organizations,” – a book about decentralization concepts he uses in all areas of his work and life. Additionally, Rod participates in the Davos World Economic Forum Annual Meetings. He appears on CNN, BBC and CCTV. He is a Stanford University BA, MBA and Fulbright Scholar. For rejuvenation and his love of adventure, Rod is a passionate U.S. Coast Guard licensed captain. His personal mission is to serve the peace.
