
Alfredo Oballos Diaz
Alfredo Oballos Diaz serves as the Chief of Staff for the EMEA region. Early in his career, he worked as an Analyst for the GBBC family (2019), where he helped the organization establish stronger ties with the U.S. Congress.
Currently based in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, Alfredo has held various positions as a public servant. Before moving to Europe, Alfredo worked as the Assistant to the City Manager for North Bay Village, FL. There, he successfully spearheaded and secured significant projects such as the City’s entry into FEMA’s Community Rating System (CRS), NBV’s Building Audit process in response to the Surfside Tragedy, and the Village’s Harbor Island Parking Program, which provided parking solutions to more than 600 residents. Alfredo is a certified Social Sciences Teacher (State of Florida) and taught American History, ESOL, and Civics in the Miami-Dade County Public School System while serving the City of North Bay Village.
Alfredo is a Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute Global Leader Fellow. He has interned for various institutions such as the Office of U.S. Representative Darren Soto (FL-09), Ford Motor Co. International Government Affairs Office, the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, and the Spain-U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Alfredo is an Honors College and Real Triumphs Graduate from Florida International University with a BA in International Relations. He is currently finalizing his dissertation paper on the impact of algorithm-based social media feeds on political echo chambers, to obtain his Master’s Degree in International Studies from the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela.
